Position Responsibilities and Requirements

While each therapist and nurse position has distinct responsibilities, being on our team comes with some general duties and requirements.

At Premier Pediatric Therapy, you will:

  • Evaluate, care for and provide treatments for patients.
  • Document the patient’s progress and create goals to meet at re-evaluation.
  • Plan, prepare and perform personalized treatment programs.
  • Consistently evaluate the effectiveness of treatments at each stage in the plan.
  • Utilize and apply clinical skills and customer service in each session.
  • Ensure every patient has a meaningful rehab experience.

To work at Premier Pediatric Therapy, you must:

  • Be licensed by the state of Texas in your chosen field.
  • Have a passion for working with children.
  • Communicate empathetically and positively with children and their caregivers.
  • Have meticulous attention to detail with accuracy for documentation.
  • Be open to learning new skills and various treatment approaches.

Developmental Therapy Jobs in Texas

If you hold licensure in Texas for any of the following positions, consider applying to work with us at Premier Pediatric Therapy:

  • Physical therapist (PT): Help children promote coordination and motor skills to gain independence through mobility.
  • Physical therapy assistant (PTA): Work alongside PTs to help children with exercise, balance training and other interventions.
  • Occupational therapist (OT): Facilitate children’s ability to gain skills that help them complete activities of daily living.
  • Occupational therapy assistant (OTA): Assist OTs in monitoring support activities for the children.
  • Speech-language pathologist (SLP): Work with children to enhance articulation, vocalization, swallowing and other physical and cognitive communication disorders.
  • Speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA): Conduct speech-language screening activities alongside SLPs.
  • Registered nurse (RN): Collaborate with therapists to monitor vital signs and administer medications for children in therapy.
  • Licensed vocational nurse (LVN): Assist RNs with primary patient care, like monitoring vital signs and documenting patient history.
